About my Blog

But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain

Shocker

Weighing in with Heather & Ash

Well, the good news is I'm down 2.2 lbs from last week.

Unfortunately, the bad news is that last week I was UP 3.4 lbs from the week before!

I have NO idea how that happened.  I'm serious, I really don't.

I mean, I know I wasn't particularly strict about evening snacking that week, and my half days I don't think were very disciplined either, but I certainly didn't eat more than I would have on a normal day.  And I had all three of my fasting days.  Somehow, the math just doesn't add up.  I could see (and admittedly, was somewhat expecting) a small gain ~ like, maybe up to a pound ~ but almost THREE AND A HALF??!  Yeah, that hit me pretty hard.

But whatever the case, we move forward and don't get allow ourselves to be discouraged.  This is a lifelong habit-forming goal more than it is a quest for a particular number on the scale.  (At least, that's what I keep telling myself.  Some days I'm just not as convincing as others.)

How did you do this week?

I didn;t lose any weight this week, but have noticed my muscle tone getting better and my endurance building. Like you said, this is a lifestyle change, it will have its ebb and flows, up and downs. Good luck!
