I've had great success following the eating plan detailed on the Learning Moderation Began Here page. However, I've never been keen on having my girls witness me NOT eating for an entire day, regardless of the reason, so summers and other school holiday days have always proved problematic and have been used as excuses to quit. This year, I've determined to stick to the plan REGARDLESS of whether or not the girls are at home, but I am allowing modification so that when they're home, I just won't have fasting days. I will simply alternate "half" and "normal" days.
In addition, I've swapped out one fasting day for a "normal" day, so now I have three normal eating days (the NEW normal, of course!), and four where I eat only half that, or less. So for the majority of weeks in the year, here's how the plan now looks:
When we have weekend company staying till Monday (like my parents always do), my weeks will look like this:
Sunday ~ Half
Monday ~ Normal
Tuesday ~ Half
Wednesday ~ Fast
Thursday ~ Normal
Friday ~ Fast
Saturday ~ Normal
My plan is for success this year and I think allowing myself to make this plan a little more flexible will go a long way towards making that happen.
